I hosted “Adventure Smoothie & Bakery vol.2” last weekend at my friend’s place. It was a smaller and more relaxed event, more like a home party, this time. We all sat down and enjoyed smoothies and pies together, which leaded to name the smoothie that I introduce today.
We had different names in our minds when we tasted this smoothie but in the end, when one of my dear friends said “Goa Sunshine”, it felt right to me. This smoothie has natural sweetness from pineapple and at the same time, it has a kick of ginger and cayenne pepper and that is exactly what I feel and think about India from my two months trip there. Sometimes it was so exciting to be there and gave me lots of joy, sometimes I was overwhelmed to see and understand the difference from my common sense, beliefs and society.
Anyways this smoothie, more like a juice, is very refreshing so will be great to have in hot and humid summer days. For those who prefer to have a smooth texture, I recommend to remove all the skins from grapefruits. Enjoy!
<Ingredients> 1/4 Pineapple 1/2 Grapefruits 1tbs Lemon juice 1 piece of Ginger (grated) one dash of Turmeric a bit of Cayenne pepper Water 100~150ml
